Community Fund
The Fund consists of a sum of money for which individuals and groups may apply, for projects intended to enhance and improve the local neighbourhood.
The amount available in the fund is agreed in the annual budget.
Strategic outcomes
The Vine Community Fund is intended for community-based initiatives that will directly benefit the residents of Bonnington Square, Vauxhall Grove or Langley Lane. It is hoped that the fund will enable projects that bring members of the community closer together, fostering a feeling of pride, belonging and security. The Community Fund will not support projects that do not comply with this strategy.
Criteria
An application will be fundable if it meets the following criteria:
• Must fit with the strategy outlined above
• The project must be delivered to beneficiaries based in Bonnington Square, Vauxhall Grove or Langley Lane.
• Applications must be within the specified annual amount. It is unlikely that the full amount would be awarded to a single project.
• Projects must be deliverable in a 12 month period from the date of the award letter
• The project start date must be at least 10 weeks after submission of the complete application and supporting documents.
• The application is submitted by the closing date on the form.
The fund can support a wide variety of projects, however the following are examples of projects or costs that will not be eligible:
• Projects that do not address the agreed strategy.
• The general running costs of an organisation (e.g day to day expenses such as rent, gas, electricity, and insurance costs).
• Projects that take place or incur costs (including deposits and costs associated in submitting the application) before the date of the offer letter.
Procedure
A form will be provided for applicants. Applications are reviewed by Finance subgroup. Those that fit the criteria are submitted to the MC for approval.
Finance will monitor the projects and give regular reports to the MC and the GM. They will also ensure that invoices and other documentation is provided.
