Double Glazing Procedure

Funds for double glazing are limited, so the Co-op will adopt the following equal priorities. It should be noted that all Vine properties are currently heated to ‘Decent Homes’ standards.

  • Tenants with health issues that can be helped by double glazing.
  • Tenants with rooms that are difficult to heat
  • Tenants suffering from excessive noise, especially if this cannot be resolved in any other way, for example from noisy roads.

Before installation, Development should provide evidence for the MC that tenants who have been granted double glazing fall into one or more of these categories.

All of the above categories are subject to participation in the Co-op and not being in rent arrears. Participation will be assessed by Membership, taking into account any extenuating circumstances that have been agreed by the Co-op.
