About the Co-op / Applying for Housing

A link to our application form is available when the waiting list is open. Please do not write to Vine Housing Co-op directly as your letter or email will not be processed.

How to apply to the Waiting List when it is open

Applicants to the Waiting List must demonstrate and provide evidence of all of the following:

  1. To be on the Lambeth Housing register.
    You will be able to provide proof of your bidding number along with your allocated banding. We will also ask you to provide proof of your bidding history with Lambeth council.   2. To be in genuine housing need in Lambeth
    You will not own property elsewhere and will be able to demonstrate why you consider yourself to be in need of housing.
  3. To have a current stake and involvement in the local community.
    Local community means in the immediate surrounding areas such as Vauxhall/Oval/Kennington/Stockwell. Your involvement or stake could be that you have done community work, have grown up in the area, are a key worker such as a teacher or nurse, or have worked locally for a long period of time.
  4. To show an interest and commitment to being a member of a housing co-operative.
    This will involve continuing participation at meeting etc. Members of the
    co-op are expected to take part in the management of the co-op.

When the Waiting List is open, you can download the application form below. We will only look at applications which use this form. Please include all your evidence as a scanned document/s and or PDF.

IMPORTANT: Please note that by applying to join the Vine Housing Co-op Waiting List there is no guarantee that you will be housed. It is a waiting list and not suitable for someone in acute housing need.
